Saqiba through other writer's eyes

 

Many writers and scholars have critiqued Saqiba's writing. Some have even written their PhD thesis on Saqiba and her literary efforts. Below is collection of books written or compiled by other writers on Saqiba Rahimuddin.

"MAMTA HEE MAMTA" was published in 1982 and is a compilation of life and achievemnets of Begum Saqiba Rahimuddin. Sayyed Abid Hussain Rizvi has done the honors of compiling this book, but to call this book only a  compilation would be unfair as it is a great effort to bring all aspects of Saqiba's life to the fore front. From her literary efforts to her influence on her family and friends. It also includes concise and critical essays on her literary as well as books for children by her peers the renowned literary personalities in Pakistan.

"Rim Jhim "

Doctor Anwer Saeed is a well known journalist, intellectual and literary figure who over the last thirty five years has read all of Saqiba Rahimuddin's books. In his book Rim Jhim he has compiled literary and critical essays and commentary written on Saqiba Rahinuddin's books over the last three years. These essays have been brought together from different cities of Pakistan i.e. Karachi, Multan, Quetta, Lahore, Peshawar and Islamabad. The renowned writers he has included in his book are Doctor Firdous Qazi, Mr. Fakhar Zaman, Professor Aasi Kernali, Mr. Irfan Ahmed Baig, Doctor Shamim Haider Tirmizi, Mr. Iftikhar Arif, Ms. Samar Bano Hashmi, Doctor Anwer Saeed etc.

The last eight pages of Rim Jhim demand special attention because the writer as brought together a collection of analects from the most renowned Urdu literary figures from the years 1979 to 2011.
